The legacy press is set up for a country that no longer exists: one with patient readers, predictable distribution, and bipartisan trust in institutions. Progress Pill is built for the country we actually live in: where most people get the news on their phones, where attention is contested by every other platform on earth, and where the stakes for democracy, climate, healthcare, and civil rights keep getting higher.
We're a small, independent, progressive newsroom in development. Our work will be social-first by design: short-form explainers, original threads, sourced commentary, and longer pieces on Substack. Values up front. Sourcing in the open. No-context outrage left at the door.
